Los Monstruos No Existen (Monsters Are Not Real)
3D Animator & Post-Production
In 2019, while studying at DaVinci Multimedia School, I had the opportunity to participate in the creation of the short film Los Monstruos No Existen.
The school organized a contest where students pitched short film concepts, with the winning idea being produced by a collaborative effort among all the students during various classes.
I pitched my concept, Notable, which, although it secured second place, it wasn’t picked up. Instead I contribute to the production of my friend Matias Celis Romero’s winning idea, Los Monstruos No Existen.
The film tells the story of a young boy who fears a monster lurking just outside his bedroom, a fear heightened by the film’s use of color and lighting to create a tense and eerie atmosphere both inside and outside the room.
My role in the project included working as a 3D Animator using Autodesk Maya, and contributing to post-production, specifically in audio editing using Premiere Pro and Sony Vegas and was responsible for the end credit sequence.
I also created the trailer for the short film, which was later uploaded to the school’s YouTube channel.
You can check out the entire short film here.
